IDs Released After Firearms, Crack Seized From Convicted Felons In Bridgeport

The convicted felons who tried to escape police custody then crashed their car before getting caught with alleged drugs and guns have been identified.

Bridgeport Police Department narcotics detectives and state and federal officers conducted an operation in the east end of Bridgeport Wednesday, Aug. 14 at 1:30 p.m. that reportedly resulted in the seizure of two firearms in the possession of the two men, along with a quantity of crack cocaine, said police.

Christopher Carter, 30 and Latrell Moore, 29 were caught after a brief motor vehicle pursuit that ended with the vehicle driver crashing into a wall at the intersection of Hollister Avenue and Orange Street, according to Bridgeport Police.

They were taken to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment sustained in the motor vehicle crash before being booked and identified, said Bridgeport Police Department Capt. Brian Fitzgerald.
